Bloggers Do it Better Challenge: Color Blocking

"Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely
ridiculous than absolutely boring."
-Marilyn Monroe

After aimlessly scrolling down my Tumblr Dashboard, I come across this interesting blogger DIY project on the blog Ashley4Emergy . I'm all for revamping anything in my closet, so I was instantly drawn into her take on Color Blocking for the summer season. Instead of representing this dope trend with her clothing, she decided to show this trend in her amazing foot work. Ashley mixes both neutral tones and fierce neons to dominate the pavement. The shoes she has on were painted neon yellow on the back heel with fabric paint.

Check out her take on this color blocking trend here on her site: Ashley4Emergy

Ashley's Tip:
Just a tip, if your shoes have plastic on them it's best to use acrylic paint on those parts and not fabric paint.
I'd also recommend using Tulip Soft Fabric paint, it works well on fabrics (even suede) because of it's opacity.

With this inspiration in mind for "Bloggers Do It Better" I plan on revamping my Doll House Strapped Wedge. Wish me luck loves! I'm am so anxious to go to the craft store and pick out my neon paint!

In the mean time, take the time out to check her amazing personal fashion blog!
